The computed text and the button are in my application in a centered table with a fixed width 16,297c with solid border, which is itself in another table also centered and with a Width "Fit to window".
The tables themselves are both 1 cell tables and the text in them is centered.
Maybe that might do the difference in your attempt to reproduce this behaviour contrar to hiding expectations.
In order not to hick hack anymore on details I prepared here a download of a sample containing the profile as well as the computed text and button in the About application document:
It will be there for 15 days from now 2012-09-26 ~15:00 CET.
In the About document in that file you'll find the upper computed text and button as hidden with @True and the same computed text and button further down hidden by the formula in the separate document.
I assume that the one with the formula might not work when loaded from a profile but I consider it a malfunction when the hiding formula is just @True and the "Hide paragraph if formula is true" , even in these conditions.
